ART PAD

Hello from Cadre,
We are having a great time learning in a new technology building on the U of M campus. We just explored a really fun tool. Go to artpad.art.com and try it out. You can draw pictures and play. If you want to create a link to your picture, if you click on save and send and then on click here. It will give you an url. Be sure to save it.

  1. How would you implement this into lessons? Would it be for illustrating a story or poem? I haven't had a chance to try it yet but it sounds like a great tool for Patti once she gets the portable labs working in her room. I used the Portable lab yesterday for the Playground bully survey and they all worked! Could you see us using this program with the portable lab?

  2. Yes, it might even be a cool way to practice spelling or vocabulary words. You can type on it also. After you are finished, you can click on play it, and the program shows you how it was put together.

  3. I think it could be used to apply student art work to blogs or written pieces. It's a little hard to do and would take some practice. It would be good just for improving eye-hand coordination.

  4. That is tooo cool! I wish you could save it besides email. I'd really like to have my student do this on their web page.

  5. You can. Even though you select save and send you don't have to email it. You can use the url and paste it in your web page.
